Dotnet Main Office
Dotnet’s main POP is located in Fond du Lac, WI. This site holds all of our main web servers, core routers, and is the company’s home office. Our upstream bandwidth is provided by two separate providers over fiber optic DS3 connections. The location is a secure concrete enclosure and protected by card reader access for non operational hours of the day. The server room has the following features;
- Independent temperature and humidity control
- Battery backup to all systems for use in lag time of generator startup and line conditioning
- On site automatic generator for use in power failure
- Card reader restricted access
- Offsite backup of all servers
- Direct access to our redundant DS-3 fiber optic network
- Most servers and routers feature redundant power supplies
- RAID configuration in most servers for hard drive redundancy
- Linux and Windows servers
- 24/7 Pager alert system which notifies all service personnel with any server room or wireless outage
Wireless Internet Service
Dotnet’s Wireless Internet Service has been operational for over two years, and has grown to 10 markets in the Fox Valley. Our base stations are wirelessly connected with anywhere from 3Mb to 45Mb of available bandwidth, and most feature land-line backup bandwidth. Our wireless POPs have the following features;
- Battery backup on site
- 24 hour access for Dotnet service personnel
- Hot swappable spares of base and customer equipment stored at FDL location
